Chamber Music Sunday - First Week
Chamber Music Sunday features Wyndeharpe with Sue Makeever on flute and Nancy Wilson on harp. The rest of the talented Makeever family will sometimes join in. Occasionally, Ilse-Mari Lee will add her cello.
Solo/Ensemble Sunday - Second Week
Solo/Ensemble Sunday features a talented mix of instrumental and vocal solos and ensembles. The Challenge Plus Choir (aka "Quartet Plus" or "Q+"), a small vocal ensemble coordinated by Bob Gammill and accompanied by Ilse-Mari Lee, frequently performs masterpiece anthems on Second Sundays and other special occasions. (Pictured above, Q+ performed on October 15, 2005 at the installation ceremony for our new Conference Minister Rev. Randy Hyvonen.) Core members of this group are Susan Wise, Nancy Wilson, Janel Carino, Rusty Swingle, Denny Lee, Bob Gammill, and Don Wilson.
Choir Sunday - Third Week
Choir Sunday features the InterGenerational Choir (pictured below). Lloyd Reynolds directs this choir accompanied by Ilse-Mari Lee. The IG Choir welcomes new members of all ages (7th grade & up). Rehearsals are held every Second Sunday from 7:00-8:00 PM.
Folk/Gospel/Acoustical Sunday - Fourth Week
Folk/Gospel/Acoustical Sunday features a wide variety of musicians interested in sharing their love of music. Kate Bryan coordinates all the folk/gospel/acoustical music for Fourth Sundays. Ellen Stephenson directs the Children's Choir (aka "C.O.O.L.") which also sings on Fourth Sundays.
Groovin' Women, directed by Kate Bryan, often performs on Fourth Sundays. Groovin' Women welcomes women of all ages. You don't have to sight-read music, be a member of Pilgrim, or even be a great singer. You just need to have a desire to have some fun, sing a little and get to know some really spirited women. Childcare is available for mothers needing assistance with children during rehearsals.
Special Music Sunday - Fifth Week
Special Music Sundays feature members of the congregation as well as local musicians performing special music for worship services on Fifth Sundays throughout the year, and every Sunday in June, July and August. Connie Cash arranges this superb special music throughout the year.
